H. Krug Furniture
Yesterday’s post featured a close up of the two flags flying above H. Krug Furniture on Ahrens Street in Kitchener. This picture was taken from the parking lot of the Kitchener Train Station on Weber Street West. Hartman Krug founded this furniture business in 1880 in Berlin, Ontario. You can read more of the company’s history on their website.

If only those walls could talk! I love old buildings such as this one…they hold so much history and character. You can see how much technology has advance.
They just don’t make them like this anymore

My nephew has worked here for years but I have never been in the building. This is one old business that continues to do well.

I have a sofa and chair and side tables from this company cerca 1930. I would love to find a catalog with the furniture in it does your nephew know or could give me a contact with the factory.

That’s cool. I have an oak office desk and chair that is pre-1970. It’s nice to see a picture of where it might have been made. Nice picture.
