Pioneer Terrace, Freeport Hospital
The Record featured an interesting article about the history of Freeport Hospital on Saturday April 10, 2010. This picture shows the old part of the hospital which was a TB Sanatorium for many decades. I like the fine arched windows on the main level.
Dr. Anne Crowe is the current medical director at Freeport Health Centre. She was interviewed for the newspaper article. Dr. Crowe is running for councillor for Ward 6, City of Waterloo in the upcoming 2010 municipal elections. I do not live in Waterloo and have not been asked to promote her campaign. But I would definitely vote for her if I lived in her ward as she one of the most knowledgable, capable and sensible people I have ever met. Here is the link to her website.
Is all of this building still there? The windows are beautiful

Yes, the building is still in use at this time and is connected to the newer building.
