Kitchener’s New Parking Garage Sculptures

with 7 comments

These sculptures are on the new municipal parking lot at the corner of Charles Street and Benton Street in Kitchener. I cannot find anything about them on the internet. They are far more interesting than the Kitchener courthouse sculpture or Waterloo’s rusty bell.

Does anyone know about the artist or meaning of this piece?

Thanks to reader “MG” who commented and shared a link to an article from The Record (Nov 30/10)

“KITCHENER – Roofers on the new downtown parking garage at Benton and Frederick streets work among some of the figures that make up Pedestrian, a sculpture by Ted Fullerton.

The work of art consists of seven resin figures in stride. Project plans call for a bronze sculpture at street level.”
