Two years ago we recycled a couple of computers at Computer Recycle Depot on Erb Street in Waterloo and I wrote a post about this new company. We had a computer and scanner to dispose of this weekend and discovered that Computer Recycle Depot was no longer across from the Erb Street landfill site. Their website now directs to MyoldPC.ca and a number of drop off locations are available in the region. I ended up driving to the new RONA store on Forwell Drive in Kitchener to use this free electronic drop off box. Here is a partial list of drop off locations:

Maple Syrup for Sale

Sobeys on Fisher Hallman Road in Kitchener has allowed the sale of farm-fresh maple syrup outside their front door in recent weeks. These boys were waiting for their next customer last Saturday.

Elmira Maple Syrup Festival

It was a perfect early spring day for the annual Elmira Maple Syrup Festival. We arrived well before 9 AM and Arthur Street was already jammed with pedestrians. It was the busiest I have seen it in a few years and when we returned to Kitchener, the traffic was backed up all the way to Waterloo on the expressway. There is a good variety of street food for sale besides pancakes and maple syrup.
