These woods in the middle of a Kitchener industrial park are beautiful in all seasons. Our children were able to walk the easy trails when they were small and we collected acorns and leaves in the fall. There is no better display of spring wildflowers anywhere in the region than is found here early in May. In the winter the marked trails are ideal for cross-country skiing. The snow is not deep at this time and walking was easy yesterday. Birders should look for Pileated, Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers in the tall trees and smaller passerines in the newer growth around the parking lot.
Map – The main parking lot is closed in the winter but parking for a few vehicles is available close to the Bleams Road entrance.
