The Record featured an article a couple of weeks ago about a Kitchener teenager, Claire Matlock, who is following the 100 Mile Diet for 18 months. There is a good variety of street food for sale besides pancakes and maple syrup.

My first introduction to Viet-Thai cuisine was at Pho Dau Bo in downtown Kitchener a few years ago. Since then, a steaming bowl of pho is something I crave on a cold day or when my head is viral stuffy. The prices are reasonable and several varieties and sizes of fruit are available. Their website has a list of upcoming sale dates, a price list and other information.
